![]() Built in June of 1917 by the Mt Vernon Car Company, the WP received 800 cars of a 2,500 car order of the 8’-0” IH design and assigned Series 16001-16800. In 1918 the remaining 1,500 cars were delivered as Series 16001-18500. Between 1927-1931 the cars were rebuilt with Dreadnaught steel ends and were renumbered into the Series 27001-27600. In 1947, 200 of these cars were sent to subsidiary Sacramento Northern as series 2301-2328. (See Protocraft Decals SN-1) Paint & Lettering: Cars were painted freight car red: TCP-204. Lettering all white stencil paste.
