In 1924 the NOT&M bought the International-Great Northern, and in December of that year the Missouri Pacific bought all of the Gulf Coast Lines and operated it as it’s subsidiary. In December of 1929, the NOT&M had 120, 40’-6” single-sheathed Howe-truss design 8’-6” IH boxcars built by General American Car Company in their Kingsville, Texas plant.
