lettering set for Wabash’s 1937 AAR boxcars - from NH in 1963

Between May and July 1963, the Wabash received 400 of the 1937 AAR design boxcars from the New Haven Railroad. Built by Pressed Steel Car Company

in July 1941, and part of NH’s Series 30000-30999, they were reassigned as Wabash’s Series 60600-60999.

 

Paint & Lettering: Cars painted all freight car brown - a rich oxide red-brown: TCP-191. Lettering all white stencil paste.
