![]() In 1941 the ERIE received 1,100 Modied 1937 AAR design box cars of ERIE’s 10’-4” IH in 3 lots: American Car & Foundry, 200 cars, Lot 2152, Series 80000-80199; Magor Car Corp, 100 cars, Lot P9760, Series 80200-80299; and Pullman-Standard, 800 cars, Lot 5683, Series 81000-81799. The cars were delivered with the 34” black and white monogram, painted box car brown (Floquil #25), door placards, underbody and truck sideframes coated with black car cement. Wheels were unpainted and allowed to rust and gather a coating of axle grease. Decal sheet and artwork created at Protocraft Decals. Lettering by Ted Culotta. Car 80000 below has been repainted in January of 1952 at Port Jervis, NY, and displays the 1947 black and white 72” monogram with a dierent data display. ![]() ![]() Background color shown above is not included in decal sheet |
