![]() In February 1942, the NC&StL took delivery of 500 1937 AAR 10’-0” IH design boxcars designated Class XM34. Built by Pullman-Standard’s plant in Michigan City, Indiana, as Lot 5694, series18500-18999. Cars were painted a red-brown with black underframe and truck side frames - wheels left unpainted and left to gather road grime and axle grease.
