![]() In 1937 the N.P took delivery of 520 wood sided 1937 AAR design boxcars, much like the Great Northern’s. Built by Pacic Car & Foundry in Renton, WA, the cars were assigned Series 9480-9999. In the mid-1950’s a majority of these cars were rebuilt with 55-ton trucks and renumbered as Series 40500-40917, many were still in revenue service in the mid-1970’s. Repainting included the post 1955 5’ monad medallion with NORTHERN PACIFIC RAILWAY, periods and 1’ reporting marks lines were dropped. This decal sheet is designed for this scheme. Decal sheet created at Protocraft Decals with artwork by Ted Culotta . Paint & Lettering: Cars were painted NP mineral brown. Tru-Color #193.
