![]() In February 1944, the Central of Georgia received 100 War Emergency design 10’-0” IH boxcars from AC&F as Lot 2491, Series 41000-41099. In May 1944, the CofG received an additional 250 War Emergency boxcars from Pullman-Standard’s Bessemer, Alabama plant as Lot 5761, Series 41100-41349. Paint & Lettering: The cars received di.erent paint but of the same shade of color. Series 41000-41099 received Pittsburgh Carhide Synthetic brown: TCP-93) on sides, while the ends, roof,underframe and trucks were coated with black car cement. Series 41100-41199 received a coat of DuPont #474-916 Brown paint; and Series 41200-41349 received a coat of PPG Carhide Brown. Again only the sides were painted these colors (TCP-93) while the ends, roof, underbody and trucks were coated with black car cement.
