Lettering for 1944 AAR boxcars - 1963 scheme

Between May and December, 1947, the GM&O received 1,420 1944 AAR design boxcars, all from AC&F.

Paint & Lettering: Cars painted with Pittsburgh Synthetic Brown: paint chip matches TCP-923*; roof, ends and underframe originally coated with black car cement. It appears that repainted cars, such as 22318 above were all freight car brown. Lettering white stencil paste.
