The Pennsylvania had over 50,000 X-29 boxcars. On rst impression they all appear to be lettered alike, however not all X-29’s were lettered the same. Dierent paint shops had dierent stencil cards and dierent policies with regard to stencilling and not stenciling. To remove the stencils a workman had to return to the car and paint in the stencil openings by hand. While this resulted in much clearer lettering, it cost more in labor. Many cars remained fully stenciled, with letters, numbers and even the keystone medallion. This decal set is designed to allow the modeler to replicate a fully stenciled car. ![]() ![]() Background color shown above is not included in decal sheet |
