lettering set for 1937 AAR design (9'-11" IH) & repaint of USRA boxcars

In March of 1945, the FEC received 100, 9’-11” IH 1937 AAR design boxcars from Magor Car Corp, as Lot 743 and 744. Lot 744 was assigned

to Express service as Series 601-650 and given express high speed trucks. Lot 743 was assigned to general service as Series 21001-21050.

Paint & Lettering: Cars were painted boxcar red with white stencil paste lettering and slogan. In 1951, some cars were repainted a medium

blue with white stencil paste lettering and slogan (see example over)
