The Pennsylvania acquired 3,500 USRA design single-sheathed 50-ton boxcars in September 1919 through January 1920. Beginning Series
was AC&F Lot 8575. Series was 38045 through (and not continuous) 598453. Cars were built by AC&F, H&B, Bettendorf and PC&M. In 1953
there were 693 cars still in revenue service.
Paint & Lettering: Cars painted PRR freight car red. Lettering all white stencil paste.
Lettering set designed and created at Protocraft Decals.
