1937 AAR boxcar series Bx-26 for Santa Fe

In 1936 the Santa Fe ordered 500 Class Bx-26 box cars from Pullman-Standard, and assigned road numbers 136000-136499. Cars were painted ATSF Brown (Floquil #25). Roof, underbody, brake detail and truck side frames painted with black car cement. Often times the roof paint had slate granuals sprinkled on while still drying to provide traction. The Bx-26 was not known to have been repainted or relettered with maps or slogans.
