Lettering for MONON's as-delivered 1944 AAR design boxcars

In May 1947, the MONON received 500, 1944 AAR 10’-6” IH box cars from Pullman-Standard, Lot 5860. The cars with road numbers 1-250, came with 7-panel Superior doors and cars with road numbers 251-500, came with Youngstown 6-6-5 panel doors. Cars were painted all box car red, but some, including #37 above, had the roof coated with black car cement. Lettering set designed at Protocraft Decals with artwork by Norm Buckhart.
