![]() Seaboard’s ‘Turtle Back” cars were built in May 1941 by Pullman-Standard, Lot 5659, Class B-7. The five hundred cars were assigned road numbers 19000-19499. Car 19476 is in the ’as-delivered’ paint scheme, while 19343 displays a 1959 repaint scheme. In between the two dates, the Seaboard employed the larger 56” medallion (see over - car 19293) Seaboard painted their box cars a red-brown: 1 part Floquil #74 and 1 part #186, underbody black car cement.
