mid-1950's green and yellow paint scheme for USRA 8'-7" IH, 1932 ARA and 1937 AAR boxcars

The MEC owned over 1,000 of these 1923 USRA boxcars delivered in August, 1929, from Standard Steel Car Co; Series 5000-6003, here seen with the 1950’s scheme.
 

The MEC received 752 1932 ARA 9’-4” IH boxcars from Magor Corp. Series 4500-4999 in 1936, and in 1939, Series 4250-4499, here seen with the 1950’s scheme. Below, also in the 1950’s Pine Tree scheme, is one of 400 of MEC’s 1937 AAR design (9’-11” IH) boxcars delivered from Magor in 1942, as Series 6100-6499.
