The Northampton & Bath received 218 cars between 1931 and 1935 that were originally built by AC&F, Lot 9577, in 1923 in an order for 300 cars for Universal Portland Cement, Series 701-1000. (Note: Hannibal Connecting received an additional 65 cars from Portland Cement. The remainder of the cars went to Universal Atlas Cement Co.) For a comprehensive study of individual car numbers it is best to consult the charts in Ed Hawkins and Pat Wider’s RP CYC , Vol 21, page 90.
