In April 1941, the Tennessee Central received 100 1937 AAR design boxcars:
Series 7900-7999, 100 cars, Pullman-Standard, Lot 5655, delivered April 1941.
Cars were painted a red-oxide (TCP-238), with underbody and truck side frames painted with black car cement. (wheels left unpainted and
allowed to gather road grime and grease). ` Lettering was created by Donnie Dixon.
These cars were unique in that they came with flat panel riveted roofs, and Pullman’s4/5 Corregated ends. The cars matched W&LE’s 24200-
24501 Series which were under P-S Lot number 5649, built just 3 months earlier. An accurate model of this this car is Protocraft #3510
