lettering for URTX leased 37’ wood reefers to Dubuque Packing Co

Dubuque Packing leased a variety of refrigerator cars from Union Refrigerator Transit Company - a division of General American Transportation Corp, the car’s builder. URTX leased over 5,000 refrigerator cars to a number of meat packing companies. Dubuque leased both 37’ wood reefers and 40’ steel cars. This decal set covers 500, 37’ wood reefers. Series includes 63000-63499. 

Paint & Lettering: Car sides painted a mix of orange/yellow with mineral red roof and ends. Underframe and truck side frames were painted both mineral red or coated with black car cement. Lettering black and red stencil paste.
