![]() Built in the 1920’s by Fruit Growers Express, the majority were rebuilt in the early 1950’s by Pacific Car & Foundry and were to be found in Western Fruit Express livery as well. West India Fruit acquired 50 of these cars, and ssigned Series number 700-749. These cars were part of the car ferry system between Palm Beach, Florida and Havana during the pre-Castro days. Roof, sometimes coated with a silver or aluminum paste, or the same yellow as the sides; sides reefer yellow with mineral red ends and black underbody and trucks.
