White Tank for A.E. Staley Mfg Co. 8,000 Gal by Pressed Steel

Pressed Steel Car Company built a large number of 8,000 gallon tank cars during the 1920's, primarily for North American's tank leasing operations.  In the late 1940's, when A.E. Staley turned over their tank operations to North American, many of the cars were repainted and lettered in AESX reporting marks with white and orange paint schemes.  AESX 704 and 719 are painted white with royal blue lettering; bottom sheet, underframe and trucks coated with black car cement.  Hand rails, grab irons and ladders were royal blue.  AESX 455 below utilized the smaller medallion placed just below the letters "MFG".                                                                                                          This lettering set was designed at Protocraft Decals with lettering and artwork by Ted Culotta.
