8,000 Gal Tank Car Lettering for Tidwater Oil Co.

Tidewater Oil has been around for over 80 years and includes it’s line of lubricants under the Veedol and Tydol brands on it’s tank cars as well. Ownership was accuired by Standard Oil of New Jersey in 1930 and later went to Getty Oil, all who kept the Flying A brand up through the 1950’s. The number of tank cars bearing the Flying A, Veedol and Tydol markings is not known and so we are limited by photographs of these cars. The two sets of lettering styles are included in this sheet so that the modeler can choose which car to model. Car is all black with white lettering. Decal sheet designed at Protocraft Decals.
