Previous Return to list of all Tank Car Decals in 1:48 scale Next Lettering for 8,000 gallon tank cars - silver tank
![]() Pressed Steel Car Company built a large number of 8,000 gallon tank cars during the 1920's, primarily for North American's tank leasing operations. In the late 1940's, when A.E. Staley turned over their tank operations to North American, many of the cars were repainted and lettered in AESX reporting marks with white, orange or silver paint schemes. AESX 67 and 95 are an examples of tanks painted silver with black lettering; bottom sheet, underframe, hand rails, grab irons, ladders and trucks coated with black car cement. This lettering set was created and designed at Protocraft Decals. ![]() ![]() Background color shown above is not included in decal sheet |
