![]() In 1920, the M-K-T took delivery of 300, 8,000 gallon tank cars built by AC&F's Milton, PA plant as Series 116000-116299, designated for fuel and crude oil for the Company's steam locomotive fleet. Series 116055-116149 were designated for EDIBLE OIL cars for the render fat from slaughter houses. In 1924 the Company name was changed from MK&T Ry to M-K-T and the new bold sans-serif font was adapted. The cars were renumbered in the 120000 Series. Car 120021 was reweighed in November 1953, and probably repainted at the same time with the new lettering.
