Lettering for Champion Oils/Sterling Fuels

Sterling Fuels Company of London, Ontario, Canada, acquired a number of 8,000 gallon tank cars used from various sources.  Reporting marks HJMX stood for owner H.J.McManus.  Series numbers included 101-103.  The 6019-6028 Series were acquired in 1954 and built in 1916.  Additional cars included Series 6038 above.  Tanks were painted all medium green including the bottom sheet, with all white lettering.    This lettering set was created and designed at Protocraft Decals with artwork by Bill Schneider.
