SP 60' Harriman full RPO lettered for 1947-1959 in Dulux yellow

In 1907 the C.P.’s Sacramento Shops built 4097, the .rst of the Harriman 60’ postal cars. In 1909, the CP ordered 11 more from Pullman-Standard - 6 for the CP and 5 for the UP. In 1910, 14 more cars were added top the roster with some going to OSL, SPLA&SL. See pages 41-59 of the SPH&TS Volume 3 for more detailed information on these cars. Cars and truck side frames were painted dark passenger green with tar roof, and underbody painted black car cement. Wheels left unpainted and gathered a patina of road grime. Letterboard lettering is 5-1/2”. When the CP cars were transferer to the SP, SP preceded the car number. Models in urethane are available from Southern Car & Foundry, Kit #102.
