The FRISCO received 900 52’-6” Greenville design 70-Ton Drop-End Gondola Cars beginning in 1949. Cars were delivered as follows:
Series 61000-61399, 400 cars, Pullman-Standard Car Company, Lot 5943, steel floor, P-S Patented drop-end - delivered March 1949
* Series 61400-61599. 200 cars, Pullman-Standard Car Company, Lot 8058, steel floor, P-S Patented drop-end - delivered April 1953
* Series 61600-61899. 300 cars, Pullman-Standard Car Company, Lot 8155, steel floor, P-S Patented drop-end - delivered November 1953
The cars were equiped with interior tie-down rings or with both interior and Series 61400-61899 with Wine Ladijng Band Anchors. Cars had Wine door locks.
Hand brakes were Klasing Lever Hand Brake.
Paint & Lettering: Cars painted black with all white stencil paste lettering.
