Lettering for 1928-30 42' gondola cars = circa 1944-1958

In June 1928, the CofG purchased 500 42’ gondola cars from Tennessee Coal & Iron Railroad, and assigned the cars number Series 17501- 18000. Originally painted black, this December 1948 repaint at CofG’s Macon, Georgia shops appears to be freight car red, which for CofG at this time would fall in Group V shade of red/brown: TCP-925
