![]() In November of 1941, the Kansas City Southern took delivery of 50, 50’ double-door automobile cars from Pullman-Standard Car Manufacturing Co, under Lot 5682, and assigned road numbers as Series 20850-20899. Equipped with auto loading racks as delineated by the white stripe on the right hand door. The cars were painted PPG Carhide KCS color (box car brown) close to TCP-181. Roof, running boards, underframe and truck side frames coated with black car cement. Wheels unpainted and left to gather rust, axle grease and road grime.
