Between January 1948 and September of 1956, the B&O received 725 AAR design 70-Ton at cars, built at Baltimore & Ohio’s Dubois, PA
shops using kits supplied by GSC. Series began with 8000 and skipped around, even back to 7050, as a result of many cars being converted
to special use and renumbered, with numbers nally ending at 9845. These were assigned related Class designations of P-24 through P-33C.

Series 8250-8399, 150 cars, Greenville Steel Car Company, O.O. 555, Class FM P-25A, delivered February 1951
Series 8400-8499, 100 cars, Greenville Steel Car Company, O.O. 633, Class FM P-31, delivered January 1954
Series 8900-8999, 100 cars, Greenville Steel Car Company, O.O. 656, Class FM P-31, delivered April 1955
Series 9100-9241, 142 cars, Greenville Steel Car Company, O.O. 673, Class FM P-32, delivered September 1956
Series 9300-9357, 58 cars, Greenville Steel Car Company, O.O. 673, Class FC P-32A, delivered January 1954 for TOFC svc.
Paint & Lettering: Cars were painted black. Lettering all white stencil paste. Note 8375 below received reporting marks in 7” lettering versus
the more common 9” . Many railroads did not put lettering or reporting marks on ends. Photos of the B&O atcars do not show end lettering.
