50’ automobile single-door cars w/end doors for the NYC

In July of 1941, the Despatch Shops built 100, 50’ boxcars with a single 8’ side door and end doors. Series was 92000-92099, NYC Lot 693-B.  Possibly built to accommodate the aircraft industry such as shipping wings or aircraft frames, these 100 cars were the only end-door 50’ boxcars the NYC had in it’s roster, double or single side door cars.
