D&RGW door and a half autocar - Series 61200-61399

Built in 1926 by the Mt. Vernon Car Manufacturing Company, the D&RGW assigned these cars road numbers as Series 61200-61399, and were fitted with a door and a half opening.  Using a fish-belly steel underframe under steel framed double-sheathed T&G wood sides with a 10’-0” inside height. Cars employed Climax-Cleveland Radial roofs and 4/5 Reversed Dreadnaught square corner ends.  Cars were rebuilt with AB brake system and an end-mounted Ajax Power Hand Brake.  Cars rode on Vulcan 5’-6” w.b. 50-ton trucks.
