![]() Build primarily for newsprint service, cars featured double-doors centered on each side to better accommodate forklift loading of large rolls of newsprint. Built in September of 1940 by the Pullman-Standard Car Manufacturing Company under Lot 5632. Assigned road numbers as Series 76000-76198, even numbers only. For parent Wisconsin Central, 100 additional cars were delivered from the Pullman-Standard Company under Lot 5646. These were assigned WC road numbers as Series 175700-175898, even numbers only. Construction consisted of the Murphy Raised panel roof, 5/5 Dreadnaught ends with square corners, and 5/5 riveted sides for a 10’-5” inside height. Klasing Power hand brake and wood running boards.
