In August 1919, the B&M received 500 USRA approved design boxcars from AC&F under Lot 8571, and assigned Series numbers 70000-70499. The cars were delivered with B&M’s rectangle monogram and painted freight car brown: TCP-19. After WW II the cars were repainted with a slightly redder shade of brown (TCP-198) with the new Minuteman emblem. In 1939 there were 496 remaining in revenue service. These were primarily used in bulk grain service. By 1950, 42 cars remained in service.
