lettering for PGE’s 40’ wood reefer
The Pacic Great Eastern acquired 20 of these wood referigerator cars from other roads, probably N.R.C., in 1947. Originally built by AC&F
in 1922 as part of the ART/NWX eet. The PGE assigned series 808-827, and painted them all gray (Pantone 416C) with black car cement roofs,
truck sideframes and underbody. Some of these cars remained in revenue service up to April, 1968.
