"Billboard" lettering for Premier Malt Products

Prototype photograph colorized during the same era from the cover and inside pages of Richard Hendrickson and Edward Kaminski’s book “Billboard Refrigerator Cars”. Because this is a photograph and the colors probably accurate, we have drawn the lettering set for this car. Most likely built by Nothern Refrigerator Car Company of Wisconsin and leased to Premeir Malt Products about the time that MDT purchased NRC. Car painted with yellow sides; ends, roof and under-door toe kick, mineral red; top of side board, underbody, ladders and corner braces coated with black car cement. Lettering and artwork created and designed at Protocraft Decals.
