In July 1941 through October 1944, the NH took delivery of 3,000 50-ton box cars of the 1937 AAR design with an IH of 10’-0” as follows:

Series 31000-31349, 350 cars, Pullman-Standard, Lot 5780, delivered October 1944 - 7-Panel Superior doors - black
Series 31350-31499, 150 cars, Pullman-Standard, Lot 5780, delivered October 1944 - Youngstown doors - black
Series 31500-31649, 150 cars, Pullman-Standard, Lot 5780, delivered October 1944 - 7-Panel Superior doors - black
Series 31650-32499, 850 cars, Pullman-Standard, Lot 5780, delivered October 1944 - Youngstown doors - black
Series 32500-32999, 500 cars, Pullman-Standard, Lot 5780A, delivered November 1944 - Youngstown doors - black
Series 33000-33499, 500 cars, Pullman-Standard, Lot 5809, delivered October 1944 - Youngstown doors, black w/ 3-4 IDN ends

Note: In 1963, a number of the 30000-30999 Series cars were sold to the Wabash and reassigned to WAB 60600-60999 Series
 
Paint & Lettering: Car body painted freight car brown: TCP-208 from 1944-1950’s (1941 paint chips not found). When delivered, doors painted black.
